這支與希臘神話農牧之神同名的中世紀樂隊 Faun 來自德國，成員有五人，使用了很多中世紀樂器，女主唱的聲音很乾淨。其中成員 Oliver Satyr 同時出現在另外一支荷蘭中世紀樂隊 Omnia，而且 Omnia 的成員 Jennifer van den Harten 也在 Faun 的專輯《Licht》中的第五支曲目 Ne Aludj El 演奏了凱爾特豎琴。所以 Faun 也有“德國的Omnia”的稱呼。 《Totem 圖騰》也許是迄今為止 Faun 最陰暗的作品。大部分德語歌詞借用中世紀的、神秘色彩的旋律，在心靈的窗戶前展現充滿優雅和魔力的畫面。Faun 再一次把聽眾領入傳奇和神秘的世界。在那裡，慕尼黑樂團表面上毫不費力地就將中世紀樂器、金絲般的吟唱、古雅的敲擊節拍，在一種無法觸及的尺度上圓滿得融合一體

樂隊歷程
樂隊成立於2002年，樂隊成員：Oliver "SaTyr" Pade, Elisabeth Pawelke,Fiona Rüggeberg和Birgit Muggenthaler，兩年後Rüdiger Maul作為打擊樂手加入，同時Birgit離隊，為了專注於她的民謠搖滾樂隊Schandmaul。在2002年，他們發行了第一張專輯Zaubersprüche，Niel Mitra在這張專中作為客座樂手，之後他加入了Faun，也是樂隊中惟一一個使用電子器樂的。
在2003年樂隊發行了他們的第二張專輯Licht。

音樂
為了表達他們與自然的關係，樂隊稱他們的風格為“異教民謠”。
Faun的曲目中有憂鬱的謠曲也有像布列塔尼An Dro這樣的熱鬧舞曲，他們彈奏來自不同地區和時代的歷史曲目，同時也譜寫自己的作品。
首專Zaubersprüche主要是些來自中世紀晚期和浪漫主義時期的舒緩謠曲，樂器保持純原聲並且摒棄了現代樂器和電子節奏。第二張專輯則少了很多謠曲，增入了更多舞曲，像Andro, Unda, Deva, Punagra。
Faun是Mittelalter Music（混合了中古民謠和民謠金屬的德國音樂流派）的代表之一。
