廖玉宏（1977年—），男，湖南寧鄉（今湖南長沙）人，中國科學院廣州地球化學研究所研究員，博士生導師，理學博士。2000年獲北京大學地質學學士學位，2006年於中國科學院廣州地球化學研究所獲博士學位，主要從事有機地球化學（石油天然氣方向）研究，涵蓋油氣藏生物降解機理、頁岩氣儲層物性、烴源岩評價等領域。
2006年博士畢業後留所工作，歷任助理研究員、副研究員、研究員。2005-2006年以聯合培養博士生身份在加拿大卡爾加里大學學習。主持國家自然科學基金面上項目（2022-2025年）等科研項目。擔任中國礦物岩石地球化學學會氣體地球化學專業委員會委員。研究成果發表於《AAPG Bulletin》2022年106卷10期、《International Journal of Coal Geology》等期刊。

2000年北京大學地質系獲地質學學士學位，2006年中科院廣州地球化學研究所獲博士學位，2005～2006年和2011年分別在加拿大卡爾加里大學地質地球物理系和美國佛羅里達州立大學高磁場國家實驗室訪問。先後獲2005年度中科院院長獎，2012年度“塗光熾人才基金”資助。先後在SCI刊物發表文章9篇，其中6篇為第1作者，3篇為第2作者。主要在以下方面取得了研究成果：高-過成熟有機質的烴源對比指標體系研究、油藏的生物降解過程和機理研究、烴源岩的生烴潛力評價、生烴過程及烴源岩的生排烴機理。現主持國家自然科學基金面上項目1項，國家油氣重大專項二級專題1項，委託項目1項，以及“塗光熾人才基金”項目1項，同時以骨幹成員身份參與了多個項目的研究工作。
