周永迪，博士，華東師範大學紫江特聘教授，華東師範大學心理與認知科學學院院長，靈長類高級認知功能神經生理研究室負責人。

簡介

主要的研究領域是知覺及短期記憶，特別著重研究體感皮層在觸覺工作記憶中的作用。周永迪教授在研究中證明初級感覺皮層參與高級認知活動，並證明體感皮層神經元能對與觸覺刺激相關的非觸覺（視覺，聽覺）刺激作出反應，參與對這些非觸覺刺激的工作記憶。根據這些研究成果，周永迪教授提出大腦初級感覺皮層不僅參與感覺性質的分析，同時還參與高級認知過程。周永迪教授提出的這一大腦皮層神經生物學的新概念，對高級認知活動僅是聯合皮層的功能這一傳統認識作出了重大修正。周永迪教授目前正在進一步開展軀體感覺皮層對於與觸覺信息相關的非觸覺信號的認知與短期記憶作用的神經機理的研究（交叉感覺模式的認知與短期記憶）。
