劉玉葆，男，博士，中山大學數據科學與計算機學院教授、博士生導師。主要從事資料庫，數據倉庫與數據挖掘，數據隱私保護，時空資料庫，NoSQL, LBS等方面的研究。近年來在SIGMOD, TODS, VLDB, VLDBJ, CIDR, INS, KAIS, JCST等國內外權威期刊和頂級學術會議上發表論文40多篇，獲得軟體著作權2項，發明專利1件。先後主持和參與了10多項國家和省部級研究項目，其中主持國家自然科學基金項目4項（含廣東聯合基金重點項目子課題1項）。是中國計算機學會（CCF）會員，CCF資料庫專委會委員，CCF大數據專家委員會委員，CCF教育工作委員會委員，ACM和IEEE成員。是國家自然科學基金和廣東省自然科學基金等通訊評審專家。主要從事資料庫，高級資料庫等本科和研究生課程的教學，合作出版資料庫教材1本。獲中山大學教學成果一等獎1項，廣東省教學成果二等獎1項。
