佘軼原，西湖大學理學院、理論科學研究院講席教授。2008年獲史丹福大學統計學博士學位，此前於北京大學獲數學與計算機科學學士及碩士學位。
佘軼原早年任教於佛羅里達州立大學統計系，2018年晉升正教授。曾獲美國國家科學基金會職業生涯獎，當選美國統計學會會士、數理統計學會會士及國際統計學會當選會員。2025年5月全職加入西湖大學。研究領域涵蓋高維統計、機器學習、最佳化技術、大數據分析及穩健統計，提出低秩建模與非凸最佳化方法，開發非漸近理論結合高效最佳化算法，套用於生物醫學與經濟數據分析。成果發表於《Annals of Statistics》《Journal of the American Statistical Association》等期刊。
