ttylinux

The goal this project is to make one of the smallest, up-to-date Linux systems, yet keep it similar to a larger distribution.
End users may want to use <tt>ttylinux</tt> on old computers for accessing the Internet, or on a bootable USB disk for a portable system. Developers may want to use <tt>ttylinux</tt> as the base for building a new distribution or embedded system.

Hardware Requirements
* 486SX processor or better
* 5 MB of RAM for hard disk installation, 14 MB for ramdisk installation
* 8 MB filesystem size for hard disk installation
* Ethernet inerface, for high-speed Internet access
* modem or ISDN card, for Internet dial-out

如果你是i386的話，目前最新的是5.3版。
-如果採用類似livecd的ramdisk載入，需要14MB記憶體。
-安裝到硬碟後只需要5MB記憶體。
-安裝到硬碟需要8MB硬碟空間。

推薦使用5.3版的i386版，報錯的機率較小，參考資料也多
對linux有一定了解的可以選用最新版

對於linux一直都有兩種嘗試辦法：
1.-.刻盤+cd引導安裝
2.-.vmware、virtualbox等虛擬機+掛載iso+引導安裝
其實虛擬機也就是多了一步設定罷了，
有關虛擬機的設定，這裡不再詳述，請自行搜尋
其實按照基本需求設定就可以了

安裝

1.-.掛載iso或是將cd放入光碟機
2.-.啟動虛擬機或是真實計算機
3.-.等待……
4.-.完全載入後就處於livecd似的ramdisk模式中了，出現提示 ：
5.3版為:"tiny.local login:"; 此時輸入用戶名：“root”；密碼：“root”；
8.0版為:"ttylinux_host login"; 此時輸入用戶名：“root”；密碼：“password”；
登入完畢
5.-.開始安裝 請鍵入：
5.3版為“installer mbr source target”
8.0版為“ttylinux-installer -m source target”
"mbr"選項是指是否把lilo安裝到主引導記錄上，一般都要裝
"source"是源，“target”是目標，一般是光碟機到硬碟。
這是光碟機硬碟表示法
"/dev/hd*" 為ide驅動器 *號為字母 a~d分別是 主IDE上第一驅動器、主IDE上第二驅動器、次IDE上第一驅動器、次IDE上第二驅動器
“/dev/sd*” 為sata驅動器 *號為字母
“/dev/scd?”為sata光碟機 ？為數字
請對號入座，實在不知道光碟機在那，那就全都試一下……
請注意！範例“installer mbr /dev/hdc /dev/hda”會使硬碟原始資料全部消失，請慎重，勿後悔！
6.-.接下來有一個確認選項，請鍵入“yes”和“y”，如果後悔了，輸入前還是可以的，ctrl+c取消安裝
7.-.安裝進行時，完全不用等待 #像安裝vista那樣去喝杯咖啡？開玩笑！
15秒到30秒後，安裝完畢……
8.-.取出光碟或取消掛載，鍵入“reboot”或按ctrl+alt+del來重啟計算機
9.-.安裝完畢

登入

依然是
“root”+“root”#5.3版
"root"+"password"#8.0版

常用命令

cd target 進入目錄
pwd 查看當前目錄
ls 列出當前目錄的檔案
cp source target 拷貝檔案
vi target 編輯目標檔案

網路配置

同其他linux發行版極為相似
網路全局設定在/etc/network.conf中進行 #貌似ubuntu中沒有這個……
DNS設定在/etc/resolv.conf中進行 輸入
nameserver
192.168.*.*
網卡配置 在/etc/network.d/中有個樣例配置檔案“sample”，
請先輸入“cp sample interface.eth？”來新建一個配置檔案 #“？”為數字，標示第幾塊網卡，從數字0開始
配置interface.eth0檔案
如果是dhcp，只需要將“DHCP="no"”改為“DHCP=“yes””即可
如果是固定ip，請只改動最後三項：IP address, netmask, broadcast adress
變更完畢後可以重啟電腦或輸入“/etc/rc.d/init.d/./network restart”來時配置生效

上網
