Xandria成立於2000年，主唱Lisa Schaphaus、吉他手/鍵盤手Marco Heubaum、吉他手Philip Restemeier、鼓手Gerit Lamm – Schlagzeug，2003年4月發表自行製作的首張專輯《Kill The Sun》，受到關注，之後加盟德國金屬名廠Drakkar，於2004年5月發表以探討情慾為主的第二張專輯《Ravenheart》。自由吉他手/鼓手 Marco 創立至今兩年多一點的時間，Xandria正以他們的首張大碟《Kill The Sun》，行進於對公眾目光的征服之路。這張由Dirk Riegrer創製的大碟,值得你付出的絕不僅是匆匆一瞥。若想在其中搜尋或絢麗或誇張的音效，完全是徒勞的。畢竟Xandria並不是在拚命地急於給自己的音樂定性，而是在簡練緊湊的製作同時，將計畫表做了巧妙多樣的安排，以便給予主唱最多的表意的空間。樂隊的歌者，Lisa，通過這張專集表明了，對於那些針對在哥特金屬表演中的女性的令人迷惑的標準，她不試圖去遵守，她的每一個聲音都發自於樂音與自己感情的共鳴中。她那多變而完美的吟唱，即便稱不上幽雅，但她與我們分享的是她內心真實的傾訴。時而是精靈般的輕靈美麗，時而又充斥暴躁與尖銳 ，但始終是注滿激情的。
