BB5（Ball Bearing 5）碟剎，由美國SRAM公司旗下品牌AVID出品 。 Avid碟剎使用一種獨特的稱為卡鉗配置系統（CPS）的裝配系統。這些凹凸墊圈構成的堆疊使得卡鉗和碟盤能夠精確的校準，而不用擔心前叉和車架的安裝支架的公差問題，使剎車墊接觸完美平直。

只有為單邊拉動（side-pull）類型剎車設計的剎把才能用於這款碟剎，如Avid's Speed Dial系列和FR5剎把。為了最好的操作和性能，Avid強力推薦使用Avid Speed Dial剎把、更好質量的剎車線和線管。否則會減弱剎車的性能。Avid碟剎兼容44mm, 6-螺釘（bolt）的國際標準花鼓。剎車墊更換當剎車墊的總體厚度（包括襯板和摩擦介質）少於3mm時，就需要更換了。取下舊剎車墊逆時針轉動調整旋鈕，直到最外。捏住整個剎車墊組合，直直的向外同時拉出兩個剎車墊。
