創作背景
1996年，在一次採訪活動中，林格說起了《章魚的花園》的創作。他說，有人曾告訴他，章魚會在海灘上收集一些閃閃發光的東西，它們把這些東西有序地置放在自己的巢穴里。於是巢穴變得炫彩斑斕，就像美麗的花園一樣。林格聽後覺得這非常令人欣喜，於是有了靈感，創作了這首歌曲。
