這支來自德國的IRIDIO組合,由成員Valentina和Franz組成。他們兩人在童年時就對音樂有了興趣並表現出來驚人的天賦，後來相差不到一年時間裡，他們分別擔任了兩個樂隊的重任：VALENTINA於1998年當上了 “Beholder” 重金屬樂隊的主唱； FRANZ在1997年成為了“ Louisiana Train”布魯斯樂隊的一名鍵盤手。且都舉行了音樂會，參加過一些知名的音樂節。俗諺道：志不同道不合。在POP & DANCE 的共同認識的交集下，他們墜入了愛河，並在2002年組建了他們的“IRIDIO”，寓意為他們所有的音樂經歷和嘗試混合的結果。電子樂的飄渺.迷幻,再加上VALENTINA的聲音,仿佛讓人置身仙境!真的是一支非常有實力的組合!

2004年製作了這張融合性極強的Waves of life，FRANZ以他不可思議的樂感將各種音樂元素溶於一爐，我們在這張專輯裡可以感受到歌特、凱爾特、部落人聲甚至中國傳統器樂的感染力，比如第8 曲The free ride of the spirit的中西合璧，另外還摻合了一些原始的部落人聲和JAZZ橋段，雖然感覺有點不倫不類，但考慮到西方人對東方文化理解上的有限性，總體還能算是和諧動聽的，由此可見FRANZ的編曲配樂功力委實不弱。而VALENTINA曾任某重金屬樂隊的主唱，聲樂表現自然不可小覦，不管是主音還是背景人聲，總讓我想起Loreena McKennitt和Lisa Gerrard那種唱腔里流露出來的中世紀風格，特別是在第二曲Night prayer里VALENTINA的vocal和感人的吉他配合得天衣無縫，相當耐聽，有此一曲，當可以買下這張專輯了。
