Deep within the forest a Girl is lost. From the distance comes the sound of a man chopping wood. The accelerating beat of his chopping matches her rising panic. What is the connection between this Woodsman and the Girl? And who holds the key to unlocking the forest's ancient secret? Drawn into the dark heart of the forest, the Girl moves ever closer to answering the mystery. But complete revelation will require an unimaginable and bloody sacrifice. Foresta Rossa (Italian for "Red Forest") is a haunting film that deals with themes of life and death, fertility and rebirth. Both symbolic and confronting, Foresta Rossa takes us back to a forgotten time when fairy tales ran red with blood. We invite you to enter the world of the forest - the Red Forest.
