Iron & Wine其實是Samuel Beam一個人的樂隊，Samuel Beam 美國的田園詩人，獨立民謠唱作音樂人。這首《Flightless Bird,American Mouth》是一首憂傷的“美國夢”的輓歌，出自專輯《The Shepherd‘s Dog》，但令這首歌聲名鵲起，重煥生機的卻是電影《暮光之城》（Twilight），歌曲被用在了影片結尾舞會一幕，Bella & Edward 踏著這溫柔的樂曲，相擁輕舞。
