This proceedings is a collection of papers comributed to 28th International Geological Congress held in July 1989 in Washington,D.C.,USA.
This collection reflects the new developments and achievements in earth sciences in China.It contains 41 papers by the geoscientists of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.It covers the following fields:Geotectonics and Structural Geology,Geophysics,Sedimentology,Petrology,Mineralogy,Geology of Ore Deposits,Geochemistry and lsotope Geology,Stratigraphy,Palaeontology,Marine Geology,Quaternary Geology,Environmental Geology,Petroleum Geology,Engineering Geology,Hydrogeology and Coal Geology.
This collection is compiled by both the Bureau of Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences,Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Science Press.Ninety-five contributors come from 10 institutes of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and other related units.
