安東·雷弗雷吉爾是一名畫家和壁畫家，活躍在作品進展管理局聯邦藝術項目委員會和藝術教學中。他是俄羅斯移民到美國。除其他作品外，他還以位於加利福尼亞州舊金山市中心林肯中心的壁畫《加州歷史》而聞名。它描繪了他在1940年至1948年間繪製的27塊鑲板上的歷史。這座歷史壁畫的風格具有雷弗雷吉爾的許多關鍵特徵。調色板由黃色、棕色和灰色組成，在某些區域中夾雜著紅色，以喚起情感。樸實地的色調和缺乏鮮艷的顏色讓觀眾想起了他描繪的掙扎和艱辛。Refregier還使用白色來代表那些受事業啟發的人的美德。他的風格非常扁平，一維。Refregier使用固體色塊來表示陰影，以及深度和陰影。他的畫風看似十分簡陋，但又因為用色彩喚起情感的方式，用強大的形象來講述一個故事，所以顯得很複雜。雷弗雷吉爾於1979年在莫斯科去世。雷弗雷吉爾正在為家鄉的一家醫療中心創作壁畫。同年，他的林肯壁畫被置於國家史跡名錄的保護之下。
