Almaz 在阿拉伯國家是鑽石的意思, 1986年一對來自厄利垂亞國 Eritrean) 難民剛好與美國黑人女歌手Randy Crawford 成為鄰居, 丈夫請求 Crawford 為他的妻子 Almaz 寫一首歌, 這首歌亦是少有的幾首由她親自寫的作品，在 1986 年發行, Crawford 曾經說 : " 我從他們身上見證了什麼是完美的愛情故事, 儘管她曾經考慮過丈夫比自己年紀小, 這對情侶帶著他們的孩子, 以難民身份在尋找一個能延續他們的愛情經歷的地方"

該歌被香港音樂家周啟生翻唱改編成粵語的歌曲《Anna》及林慧萍改編翻唱成國語歌曲《驛》
