劇情簡介

版本一

大金剛在軍警圍捕之下，終於從帝國大廈摔下受重傷，十年後，在喬治亞洲特蘭大大學醫療研究，有機會再度復活。為此研發人工心臟，準備為她做換心手術，但要同類同量的血液。正當大家一籌莫展時，米奇意外地抓到另一隻母猿，並賣給政府以便進行手術，艾美為此手術執刀，不料手術後的大金剛與母猿重回原生地，逃開人類的控制，而被軍隊重重包圍，大金剛被炮擊而身受重傷。母猿亦在這次攻擊受捕，為展開營救母猿、大金剛將再次肆虐人類……

當年金剛大鬧紐約，受到人類無情攻擊從帝國大廈轟然倒下，身受重傷卻仍未死亡，憑著藥物在喬治亞特蘭大大學醫療中心維繫生命。十年後，醫療研究取得重大突破，只要人工心臟移植成功，金剛將有機會再度復活，但這需要大量同類血液……正當大家一籌莫展時，從非洲傳來訊息：冒險者米曹意外捕獲另一隻雌性金剛……女醫生艾美親自主刀，手術相當成功，沉睡的金剛再度復活，並與母金剛突破人類重重設防回到原生地。但政府野心家們卻不願放過他們，派出大批軍隊圍堵……不願看到悲劇重演的艾美與米曹決定暗中幫助金剛脫險……
