人物經歷

1946年11月生於重慶,祖籍河南羅山。
1970年畢業於北京大學數學力學系。
在吉林大學數學系獲理學碩士(1981)和博士(1998)學位。導師伍卓群教授。
1981年起在大連理工大學套用數學系任教,先後任講師(1983), 副教授(1987),教授(1991),系主任(1998--2002)。
美國密西根大學(University of Michigan)數學系訪問學者(1984--85),美國加州理工學院(California Institute of Technology)套用數學系Visiting Associate (1995--96)。

研究方向

非線性偏微分方程的理論與套用。重點是對具有廣泛實際背景的非線性拋物方程(組)的研究,例如:複雜拋物系統中多重非線性之間的相互作用,解的奇性的產生與傳播等問題。
非線性科學是當代科學最重要的研究領域之一,其核心是關於非線性偏微分方程的研究。經典線性模型只是真實問題的理想性簡化,只能局部地刻畫物質運動及物質運動的量變過程;凡涉及質變現象,或在大的(時間或空間)範圍考慮問題時,必定與非線性模型打交道。世界因為非線性而精彩。非線性導致物質世界的多樣性,造就豐富多彩的大千世界。非線性科學極大地刺激了現代數學的發展,成為當代數學發展的重要推動力。人們對非線性的研究是從低級到高級、從簡單到複雜逐步發展的。例如,從半線性到擬線性、完全非線性;從單個方程到方程組;從非退化到退化;從弱耦合到強耦合,等等。本人主要研究領域集中於非線性發展方程,特別是具有廣泛實際背景的非線性拋物方程(組),以及非線性雙曲守恆律組等。

主要貢獻

科研成果主要分布於以下幾個方向:
(1)關於mutualist多種群反應擴散模型的研究(1986--1994):為最早進行這類問題研究的學者之一,曾有五大洲二十多個國家的同行來函索取論文抽印本,具有廣泛國際影響,其中1987年給出的一個模型和結果(J. Math. Anal. Appl. 124 (1987), 254--280)二十多年來被國內、外同行大量引用至今。
(2)關於非線性超拋物方程研究(1984,與伍卓群合作):為關於非線性超拋物方程為數不多的工作之一,直到2005年仍受到法國數學家 Kirane等人關注。
(3)關於非線性雙曲守恆律組廣義解的穩定性和唯一性的研究(1985--1986):改進和推廣了著名數學家DiPerna的重要工作,得到DiPerna本人的肯定與好評。
(4)關於反應擴散方程組弱不變區域理論的研究(1994--2000):改造經典不變區域理論,引進弱不變區域新概念並建立有界弱不變區域的判定定理。新框架可容納相當廣泛的反應擴散方程組,將解的整體存在性證明大大簡化。
(5)關於反應擴散方程組臨界增長性的研究(1996--2001):引起該領域同行關注,被美國科學院院士 Serrin評價為“橢圓與拋物方程領域的重要貢獻” (“an important contribution to the subject of semilinear elliptic and parabolic equations”),該文的單篇SCI引用已達60餘次。
(6)關於多重非線性拋物方程組的臨界指標與奇性傳播的研究(2002--至今):為近年來的主要研究領域。以所引入的特徵代數方程組(以及廣義特徵代數方程組)這一新框架,得到關於多重非線性機制之間相互作用與奇性生成規律的清晰刻畫,在多重非線性拋物方程組臨界指標與奇性解漸近分析方面所取得了一系列特色鮮明的研究成果,發表於二十餘種重要國外學術期刊。
1987年起擔任美國“數學評論”(Mathematical Reviews) 評論員,已發表數學評論200餘則。
