1999年獲得上海交通大學博士學位。1990年至2000年及2000年至2005年分別在在中國科學院北京天文台及日本東京大學從事博士後研究工作。2005年入職中科院國家天文台工作至今。2011年晉升為研究員。主要從事超新星和伽馬射線暴、空間天文探測、天體輻射轉移等方面的研究。研究成果發表於國際知名期刊，總計80餘篇。參與中法天文小衛星（SVOM）、CE-3號月基天文望遠鏡、愛因斯坦探針衛星（EP）、空間站2米望遠鏡巡天焦面等空間天文項目的論證工作，在中科院空間先導專項中申請並主持了“紅外天文小衛星”的預研和深化論證課題。
