1981年~1997年 在北京大學第三醫院工作，任手術室和外科護士，護理部副主任。 1997年~2001年 在北京大學護理學院任教 2001年~2007年 美國亞利桑那大學老年研究中心助理研究員 2007年 獲美國亞利桑那大學護理學博士學位 2007年~2010年 美國加利福尼亞大學（洛杉磯）護理學院博士後研究員，老年護理研究項目主任。
