分別於1991年、1998年在中國科學院研究生院獲生態學碩士和動物學（毒理學）博士學位。2001年2月－2002年5月澳大利亞聯邦科學與工業研究組織（CSIRO）生物技術項目高級訪問學者，2007-2008美國Purdue University訪問學者。曾於1997年榮獲中國科學院自然科學獎一等獎，1999年獲國家自然科學三等獎。至2010年在國內外發表論文74篇（其中SCI論文18篇），專著1部，公開發明專利1項。近年來的研究工作主要集中在以下三個方面：（1）細胞色素P450酶系的結構、功能與進化；（2）有毒物質的生物轉化，重點在外源有害物質的生物降解途徑分析和降解酶（包括P450酶和磷酸三酯酶）基因的分離、表達與調控；（3）昆蟲毒理基因組學。現主持或參加國家自然科學基金面上項目、"十一五”科技支撐項目、973項目和中國科學院創新方向項目。已培養（含聯合培養）博士研究生3名、碩士生5名，現有在讀博士生2名，碩士研究生6名。
