還有兩天，Ben就要到喬治亞州與未婚妻Bridget完婚。但Ben的計畫自從上飛機的時候遇到了Sarah就泡了湯。先是飛鳥卷進引擎而使飛機無法起飛，Ben又恰好救起了被撞暈的Sarah；接著Ben乘坐的各種交通工具遇上了各種天災人禍，甚至被誤會拘留入獄，看著時間一份一秒流過，Ben干著急的同時漸漸與Sarah產生了感覺……Bridget正在焦急地等待著Ben，而她的前男友Steve卻想趁這個空當乘虛而入。Bridget的父親對此倒是樂見其成，因為他向來認為Steve比Ben更像一位成功人士……究竟Ben應該能否趕上婚禮，他又如何在這兩個女人之間做出抉擇呢……

劇情簡介
自然界什麼力量最強大？如果有人告訴你是愛情，也許您會感到奇怪。不過對於本來說這是最正確的答案。要到紐約結婚的本可能沒有想到通往教堂的路是那么的長，在登上飛機的時候，他遇到了一個古怪的女人莎拉。這個怪女人居然在飛機起飛時差點丟掉性命，幸好本無意中伸手救了他。如此一來，本以為找到了一個消除寂寞的夥伴，但是很快他發現莎些靠不住。而莎拉好象被對這個救命恩人十分感興趣，經過一番誤會後，他們終於有些難捨難分了……

本（本·阿弗萊克 Ben Affleck 飾）即將從紐約啟程前往薩凡納迎娶女友布里吉特（毛拉·蒂爾內 Maura Tierney 飾），而一場颶風也幾乎同時向南部推進。本在機場遇到了性格豪放的薩拉（桑德拉·布洛克 Sandra Bullock 飾），並且兩人在飛機上恰好座位相鄰，可誰知飛機剛一起飛就遇到故障緊急降落，薩拉還在事故中撞傷了頭。薩拉清醒之後在機場找了一個願意讓他們搭車的陌生人，並要求本與她一同前行。本以為他這樣就可以按時抵達並出席自己的婚禮，可誰知這才是本和薩拉既歡樂又悲劇旅途的開始。一路向南的旅行中，本慢慢能夠接受大大咧咧卻又真誠的薩拉，而薩拉也向本敞開心扉講述了自己並不開心的遭遇。
幕後製作
這條多災多難的通往婚禮之路簡直是90年代版的《80天環遊地球》，當觀眾目睹男主角Ben的高密度悲慘遭遇時，請不要忘記提醒自己：這不過是在電影裡出現罷了……本片是女導演Bronwen Hughes執導的第二部作品，由Sandra Bullock和Ben Affleck擔綱主演，演出尚可，但全劇構思老套，欠缺突破之處。
