美國LVT-4水櫃兩棲裝甲車
This type of tracked amphibian vehicle was developed for the U.S. Armed Forces at the beginning of World War II to ascertain mobility in swampy terrain and at the beaches during landing operations. This version was typical because of its wide rear ramp which could be lowered to move equipment and troops. More than 6000 units were produced from the end of 1943 onward. LTV’s were widely used in the Pacific theater as well as on various European battle grounds to cross bigger rivers.
早在20世紀30年代，美國就開展了履帶式登入車的研製。1935～1937年研製出1942年生產出LVT2履帶式登入車，稱為“水牛”。有裝甲的稱為LVT(A)2，戰鬥全重約13噸，武器為3挺7.62毫米機槍，最大陸上速度32千米/小時，最大水上速度12千米/小時。1943年研製出LVT3履帶式登入車，稱為“大毒蛇”，戰鬥全重17噸，最大陸上速度27千米/小時，最大水上速度11千米/小時。1943年研製出LVT4履帶式登入車。有裝甲的稱為LVT(A)4，戰鬥全重17.9噸，武器為1門75毫米榴彈炮，最大陸上速度32千米/小時，最大水上速度12千米/小時。這些登入車提高了登入部隊作戰中從艦到岸的推進速度，從而保證了從艦到岸作戰行動的連續性。
