尼克（Nikolaos Freris），男，特任教授，博士生導師，IEEE高級會員，在IEEE TACON、ToN、TIT、TSP、Automatica、VLDBJ、KDD、SIOPT、IJCAI等多個知名期刊審稿人。

人物經歷

2005年獲得雅典國家技術大學高級學士學位，同年赴美國伊利諾伊大學厄巴納-香檳分校學習，獲得電氣與計算機工程碩士學位（2007），數學專業碩士學位（2008）及電氣與計算機工程博士學位（2010）。2010年至2012年在瑞士IBM研究院擔任博士後學者，2012年至2014年在瑞士洛桑聯邦理工學院擔任高級研究員，2014年至2018年在紐約大學阿布達比分校擔任軌道制助理教授，併兼任紐約大學坦頓工學院助理教授。2019年1月加入中國科學技術大學計算機科學與技術學院擔任特任教授。

研究成果

2024年12月28日，中國科學技術大學尼克(Nikolaos Freris)特任教授課題組及其合作者魏熹特任副研究員，在軟體機器人領域取得重要進展成果，基於對自然界多種生物柔性肢體（如象鼻、章魚觸手、海馬和變色龍尾巴）形態與運動的系統觀察及數學模型抽象，研發了一系列不同尺度（長度從厘米到米）與材質的螺旋機器人原型機。該研究有望推動軟體機器人發展成熟，為複雜抓取、人機互動、低空經濟產業等場景提供技術支持與創新方案。
