2004年8月,於中山大學數學與計算科學學院工作，教授，博士生導師，百人計畫入選者;2005年6月至8月,2006年5月至6月，及2006年10月至12月，於香港城市大學訪問; 2002年3月至2003年6月,於中科院數學與系統科學學院訪問; 1998年9月至1998年11月,於比利時Ruca大學數學系訪問；2006年10月被邀於俄羅斯聖彼堡數學研究所訪問。2003年獲全國百篇優秀博士學位論文獎;2003年獲清華大學優秀博士後;2001年獲中國科學院院長特別獎;1996年獲江西師範大學優秀教學獎.
成就
至目前為止,在SCI刊物發表或接受發表論文60篇,在國核心心刊物發表論文11篇,獲國家專利一項,解決了美國Tyson教授於1979年提出的一個猜想.特別是在數學與生物學交叉領域內,發表了七篇較高質量的論文,其中,Physical Review Letters(一篇)（這篇文章被哈佛大學生物系的兩位教授於Nature上作了評論）;Bioinformatics(兩篇); Physical Review E(一篇);Journal of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology(一篇); Physica D(三篇).在混沌研究方面,也做出了一批具有一定影響的工作,如在Chaos刊物上發表論文三篇,在Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos(IJBC)的Tutorial-Review section被邀發表論文兩篇
