吳振斌，1956年8月出生，湖北黃梅人，博士，責任研究員，博士生導師，中國科學院水生生物研究所水環境工程研究中心主任，淡水生態與生物技術國家重點實驗室副主任，國家傑出青年基金、國務院科技突出貢獻津貼獲得者，歐盟第五、六框架常規項目和國際合作項目評審，國際水協會植物修復專業委員會亞洲協調人，中國環境科學學會環境生物學分會主任委員。

1982年畢業於華中師範大學生物系，獲學士學位；1985年畢業於中科院水生所水生生物學專業，獲碩士學位；1994年獲理學博士學位。1994年至1996年英國赫爾大學生命科學學院訪問學者，1996年10月，被中科院特批為研究員。2000年2月起擔任環境生物學研究室主任，2002年1月起擔任水環境工程研究中心主任。
先後主持國家“八五”攻關項目、國家傑出青年基金項目“水生植物淨化生物學與水生態系重建的生物工藝學對策研究”、歐洲聯盟重大國際科技合作項目“熱帶與亞熱帶區域水質改善、回用與水生態系重建的生物工藝學對策研究”、國家重大科技專項“受污染城市水體修復技術與示範工程”等二十餘項科研項目。長期致力於環境生物學、水污染生態學、植物生態學和生態工程等研究工作，取得了突出成績。
