何維明，男，1970年生於四川。1994年畢業於西南大學（原西南師範大學），獲學士學位。2000年獲中國科學院植物研究所博士學位。曾在2005年和2010年到美國蒙大拿大學、英國謝菲爾德大學做訪問學者，現任中科院植物所研究員、博士生導師。
