中國城市發展研究院（簡稱中城院）隸屬於中華人民共和國住房和城鄉建設部，根據中央編辦的精神已完成事業單位企業化的轉軌，在國家工商行政管理總局登記註冊，註冊資本金為2.3億元人民幣，院本部辦公機構設於北京。中城院擁有一批國內權威和頂級專家、學者及城市高管人才，是我國城市發展研究領域中最具權威性和影響力的國家級智庫型研究機構。業務範圍包括城市發展建設研究、城市規劃、城市工程技術諮詢、城市環境設計諮詢、城市戰略策劃、技術開發服務等。

簡介
中城院現有專（兼）職專家人才3000餘位。內設機構有院理事會、專家委員會、中國城市投融資服務中心、實業項目委員會、無形資產委員會、城市環境委員會、城市園林委員會、數字城市委員會、傳媒與數據中心、院辦、成果推廣中心、培訓中心、發展部、國際合作部、項目部、科技部、編輯部、組聯部、財務部、企業工作處。
項目成果
中城院完成了上級60%以上的開發項目調研工作；與國家部委專家、科研機構、地方政府合作完成西部地區31市經濟發展顧問諮詢、中國新興城市發展課題項目、革命老區戰略發展課題項目以及中華世紀壇、三峽工程、天安門廣場改造工程項目技術服務等30餘項大型工程項目，獲得上級和服務單位的多次嘉獎。
目前中城院開展的工程項目有城市金融服務項目、城市通用產品開發項目、城市園林綠化工程項目、數字城市工程項目、城市資料庫建設、城市評級項目、《城市月刊》雜誌籌備編輯出版等。
進入二十一世紀以來，中城院致力於貫徹黨的科學發展觀，為推進和建設中國特色的社會主義現代化城市而努力，著重在城市公共事業、城市農業事業、城市金融事業、環境事業、綠化事業、信息產業、重點工程、城市類別研究及科教、文化事業等方面做出不懈的努力和積極的探索。

China City Development Academy, here-in-after call CCDA, is a sole comprehensive city development research institute approved by the State government. Her registered capital is 230 million yuan.
CCDA committed to serve the society with dedication, scientific methodology and innovative reform.
Her scope of work includes City Development Research, City Planning, City Project & Technical Consultation, City Environmental design & Consultation, City Strategic Planning, Technology Development
Services .etc.
CCDA now has around 3,000 full time or part time professional consulters.
Her organization fitted with Director Chamber, Expert Committee, Industrial Project Committee, Intangible Assets Committee, Urban Environmental Committee, Urban Landscape Committee, Digital City Construction Committee, Media and Data Center, Institute run Achievement Promotion Center, Training Center, Development Department, International Co-operation Department, Protect Work Department, Science and Technology Department, Editorial Department, Group Administration Department, Financial Department and Enterprise Work Bureau.
CCDA under the guidance of her superiors; with help from institute expert team and tremendous colleague contribution, she managed to accomplish more than 60% of her assigned project development research work.
By joint effort with the state consigned expert team, scientific research institutes, region government authority; CCDA completed economic development consultancy for 31 cities in Western region, China's emerging urban development project, revolutionary memorial district strategic development project, China Millennium Monument, Three gorges Project, Tiananmen Square reconstruction project services….. etc, up to a number of more than 30 large-scale projects,
The Institute received varies commendation from her superiors and respective service units
CCDA currently conduct project which includes Universal City Product Development Project, Urban Landscaping Projects, Digital City Projects, City Database Construction, City Rating Method Project, Preparation work on publication of "City Monthly" magazine.
Marching towards the 21st century, CCDA continues to re-enforce scientific development concept to promote building of socialism with Chinese characteristics and modern city efforts.
She will devotes her untiring effort and aspiring research on urban public utilities, environmental issues, green earth issues, information industry, key projects, urban classification studies and scientific educational study, cultural issues…etc.

章程規定
總則：中國城市發展研究院是致力於我國地方城市在各領域（規劃、管理、經濟、經營）的發展過程中，如何進一步規範並對存在的問題從深層次上找出原因並提出解決方案的機構，是引進競爭及激勵機制率先邁入市場的機構。
提出城市管理的“有序、高效、綜合、創新”新理念，促進我國城市管理水平。
宗旨與職能： 中國城市發展研究院的主要任務是以對我國各地城市發展在各領域的深入分類研究以及巨觀理論的探索，並對城市發展中存在的主要問題提出防範性的措施，同時為相關主管部門、國務院在制定城市發展政策提出第一手研究資料及有價值的巨觀、微觀的發展理論。 中國城市發展研究院將廣泛聯絡有關政府部門領導、外國駐中國、中央駐地方常設機構的專家和金融界、企業界人士，不僅要對城市發展重大問題和根本問題進行專題研究，提出報告，而且還要對城市規劃、城市管理、城市經營、城市經濟、城市形象等方面結合本地區城市發展的實際，提出科學的觀點和見解。接受地方城市政府委託對城市經濟發展和規劃決策提供諮詢及有效的招商引資，組織橫向交流，為企業跨地區合作提供服務。培育和培訓城市管理、城市經營等方面的專業人才。探索社會主義市場經濟體制下城市發展的途徑，為推動城市綜合發展做貢獻。
