簡介

Cowboy Junkies 煙槍牛仔是來自加拿大的骨灰級另類搖滾樂隊，他們的音樂融合搖滾、鄉村、藍調和民謠的元素。這支樂隊在北美地區乃至世界範圍內都可以說是大名鼎鼎。橫跨上個世紀80-90年代，是80年代最受樂評和樂迷一致熱烈推崇的民謠團體之一，二十多張經典唱片也成就了另類民謠搖滾的一段輝煌歷史。樂隊成員包括吉他手兼主要創作人Michael Timmins (麥可·蒂明斯)、Bass手Alan Anton、鼓手Peter Timmins和主唱 Margo Timmins。

煙槍牛仔樂隊的第二張錄音室唱片The Trinity Session是煙槍牛仔最著名的一張唱片，這張發行於1988年的錄音室唱片，也是他們的突破唱片，入選洛杉磯時報（Los AngelesTimes)等多個北美媒體的年度十大唱片。當年銷量即突破150萬張。2007年出版的綜合加拿大600名樂評人、音樂人、DJ意見的《史上最偉大百大加拿大唱片》（The Top 100 Canadian Albums），The Trinity Session列第62位。 　2002年上海聲像出版社曾引進出版過煙槍牛仔的第十一張錄音室唱片《OPEN》,上海聲像把樂隊譯為牛仔瓊凱斯。台灣福茂唱片曾引進發行多張台版煙槍牛仔樂隊錄音室唱片。

煙槍牛仔樂隊的歌曲一直很受電影音樂製作人的鐘愛。樂隊多首歌曲收錄於奧利弗斯通《天生殺人狂》等多部電影原聲中。

氣質女主唱Margo Timmins是西方樂壇最具魅力的迷幻女聲之一。值得一提的是，她還被美國人物雜誌People (magazine)評為過全球最美麗50人，這個榮譽極少給予過樂隊的主音歌手。
