在1969年的4月14日，列儂把這首歌帶到了保羅麥卡特尼家中，當夜就錄製完成。
錄製
在他的自傳中，麥卡尼回憶，列儂突然有了一個靈感的歌曲並建議他們倆應該立即錄音，無需等待其他甲殼蟲樂隊返回。鑒於這有點不尋常的情況，錄音的時候，包括以下交換：
Lennon (on guitar): "Go a bit faster, Ringo!"（這是列儂在模仿喬治哈里森的角色）
McCartney (on drums): "OK, George!"（麥卡特尼這回代替林格斯塔爾成為鼓手）
