基本介紹

Synaptics從事於為多種行動計算、通信與其他電子設備的互動開發與供套用戶界面方案，並供應包括專用積體電路、固件、軟體、模式識別與觸感技術等多項技術。該公司成功為多個MP3播放器創建界面方案，包括了某些版本的iPod與iPod mini和用於後期Creative Zen設備的觸摸板；以及與蘋果公司的iPhone不同的觸控螢幕概念手機Onyx[1]。

Synaptics於1995年推出了觸控板接口，並迅速成為業界的一個領導者，為大部份主要電腦及筆記本電腦公司提供觸摸板的OEM供應商，其中包括了華碩、宏碁、戴爾、惠普、索尼、東芝、Gateway（英語：Gateway, Inc.）、國際商業機器、聯想集團與三星電子等。自此之後，Synaptics在人機界面解決方案方面不斷創新，用新技術不斷擴大產品套用範圍。除包括筆記本電腦外，Synaptics 的解決方案大量套用於 PC機外設、數字音樂播放器、行動電話、GPS設備和遠程控制等裝置。

Synaptics於2002年在NASDAQ公開上市（Syna），總部位於加利福尼亞州聖何塞市，整個企業由分布於世界9個國家和地區的700餘名員工組成。全球超過十億台設備採用 Synaptics 界面。

收購Validity

人機界面解決方案的開發商Synaptics公司於2013年10月10日宣布以2.55億美元收購指紋識別感測器製造商Validity Sensors，收購將以現金加股票的方式進行。此次收購也意味著Synaptics將正式進入指紋識別市場。該收購方案已於2013年11月9日完成。

收購Renesas SP Drivers

2014年6月10日，Synaptics公司正式與Renesas SP Drivers公司簽署最終收購協定，Synaptics公司以4.75億美元收購Renesas SP Drivers公司100%股權。Synaptics公司收購Renesas SP Drivers公司後，將有望進一步加快推動觸摸和顯示驅動集成技術（TDDI），強化Synaptics公司移動顯示屏市場王者地位。該收購方案已於2014年10月1日完成。
