幻喜劇《少年魔法師》，一舉成名。2008年主演三部迪士尼原創電影《灰姑娘之舞動奇蹟》、《公主保護計畫》與《少年魔法師電影: 神秘魔法石》。2009年4月組建樂隊“Selena Gomez & The Scene”；同年9月29日發行首張專輯《Kiss & Tell》。第二張專輯《A Year without Rain》於2010年9月發行。2011年擔任MTV歐洲音樂大獎頒獎禮主持人。2013年7月19日發行第三張專輯《Stars Dance》。
