埃迪的靈活機動力能縱橫全場。自幼在摔角世家中成長，耳濡目染之下格雷羅年輕時已是名技巧純熟的摔角手了。不論是擂台地面上的激烈纏鬥還是從場邊角柱上一躍而下的飛天技巧都屬於他的招牌拿手好戲。
雖然聯盟內還有其他選手同樣能慣使他的那招得意技——跳水式飛身撲擊壓制(Frog Splash)，格雷羅仍充滿自信地再次強調說：我出招的攻擊力絕對比任何人都強！

2005年11月24日在家中死亡，推測他的死因是因為心臟麻痹，這主要取決於從很久以前就使用了過量的止痛劑之類藥物所引起的結果，許多選手長年使用藥物來止痛。而Eddie Guerrero年輕時期就長期使用此類藥物.此類藥物過量服用主要對心臟不利，而這可能會連線到心臟麻痹而死亡，以上只是推測而已。
