譚作文，江西財經大學信息管理學院教授，博士研究生導師。
2005年於中國科學院研究生院獲理學博士學位。
2008年2月至7月，中國科學院數學與系統科學研究院訪問學者。
2013年10月至2014年9月，瑞典Uppsala大學信息技術系訪問教授。
現任國家自然科學基金通信評審專家、中國數學會計算機數學專業委員會委員、中國人工智慧學會智慧型傳媒專業委員會委員、教育部高等學校數學類專業教學委員會“全國高校密碼挑戰賽”組織委員會委員、中國數學會會員、中國密碼學會高級會員、中科院撫州數據研究院特聘教授。
譚作文教授入選“終身科學影響力榜單”。2024年9月16日，美國史丹福大學（Stanford University）John P.A.Ioannidis教授團隊發布全球前2%頂尖科學家榜單(World's Top 2%Scientists)。榜單分為“終身科學影響力榜單”和“年度科學影響力榜單”。
