1999-2006年期間先後到香港理工大學、瑞典哥德堡大學、瑞典環境科學研究院、美國愛荷華大學和英國曼砌斯特大學從事學術研究或訪問。主要從事中小尺度大氣環境模擬、大氣化學與區域氣候變化、大氣沉降與土壤物質交換等方面的研究。已在國內外專業雜誌上發表學術論文63篇，其中SCI 16篇；參與編寫著作兩部；獨立主持面上基金等課題16項，參加973課題、國家科技攻關課題、重點基金、省部級課題和各類橫向課題26項； 獲各類獎項17項，其中包括美國START青年訪問學者獎一次，電力部科技進步二等獎一次，江蘇省科技進步二等獎一次，涂長望科技進步一等獎一次，“全國優秀青年氣象工作者” 榮譽稱號兩次。
