農業部家禽品質監督檢驗測試中心副主任、質量負責人、檢測室主任，中國畜牧獸醫學會家禽學分會理事，《中國畜牧雜誌》遺傳育種部分的主編兼雜誌副主編，《生物多樣性》雜誌編委。
研究方向
1、家禽產業技術研發
參加了“大午金鳳”、“農大5號”、“農大3號”、“新楊白”、“新楊綠”、“北京油雞”等蛋雞品種的選育及推廣，並通過國家畜禽新品種審定。並因此獲得了國家科技進步二等獎、北京市科學技術一等獎、安徽省科技進步二等獎等獎勵。通過以上科研工作，在科學技術的研發、推廣和套用上創造了相應的價值，對國內外同類研究也有一定的促進作用
2、家禽品質性狀形成的分子基礎
找到了決定雞綠殼蛋形成的分子機制，這是迄今為止第一個被發現的決定鳥類蛋殼顏色的基因和突變。已在PLoS Genetics上發表。
3、家禽的抗病遺傳育種
雞對禽流感和馬立克氏病的抗病性研究，找到了與雞抗病相關的部分基因和標記，其可以作為雞抗病育種的候選標記。已發表在PLoS One，Immunogenetics，Poultry Science等SCI雜誌上。
4、家禽遺傳多樣性
利用分子生物學手段，分析了我國78個地方雞種和26個地方鴨種的遺傳多樣性。已發表在多篇SCI論文。
5、家禽的基因組研究
國內外雞種的全基因組拷貝數變異和插入/缺失突變，已發表在BMC genomics等雜誌上。
