當地時間2016年4月3日在德克薩斯州達拉斯AT&T體育場舉辦的WrestleMania 32上，傳奇巨星The Rock回歸併宣布WrestleMania 32打破了29年以來的最高上座率記錄，現場觀眾達到了101763人。

從某種程度上說，WrestleMania是全世界摔迷接觸和了解WWE的最主要渠道，關於這項賽事的宣傳鋪天蓋地，關於此項賽事的產品層出不窮，而且所有與WrestleMania有關的紀念周邊產品通常都是很快便會銷售一空的熱銷產品。第一屆的WrestleMania是在紐約的麥迪遜花園廣場體育館上演的，此後十周年二十周年的慶典WWE還推出過特別節目在底特律舉辦的第三屆WrestleMania大賽打破了室內觀賽的觀眾人數紀錄，該項賽事有93173名觀眾出席。而這一紀錄直到2010年2月14日2010年NBA全明星賽的108713名球迷出席的新紀錄打破。在WrestleMania的歷史上，曾經有兩次在非美國本土的城市舉行，這兩次的賽事舉辦地都是加拿大安大略省的多倫多市。

1980年代
世界摔跤聯合會（World Wrestling Federation）在1985年3月31日的紐約麥迪遜廣場花園體育館舉行了第一屆摔跤狂熱大賽的比賽。主賽是一場雙打賽，參賽的雙方是在Jimmy Snuka的伴隨下登場的時任WWE冠軍胡克·霍肯（Hulk Hogan）搭檔T 先生（Mr. T）對陣羅迪·皮柏（Roddy Piper）和保羅·奧恩多夫（Paul Orndorff）。賽事取得的巨大成功幫助當時的WWF一舉擊敗了自己的競爭對手NWA（National Wrestling Alliance）和AWA（American Wrestling Association）。值得一提的是，在第三屆摔跤狂熱大賽的比賽中，總共有93,173名觀眾買票入場觀戰比賽，這是職業摔角比賽歷史上付費觀賽人數最多的記錄，這一事件被普遍認為是1980年代職業摔角運動被廣泛推廣的一個頂點。正是這一屆比賽的成功讓WWF決定將眼光瞄準密西根州以外的全美市場，WWF的發展進入新時期。

WrestleMania Axxess（摔跤狂熱狂歡節）
在1999年3月27日，WWF舉辦了第一個WrestleMania大聚會（WrestleMania Rage Party），這個活動造成的影響力出乎了所有人的意料，於是，在那之後的每一年，在WrestleMania比賽開始的前一天，WWE都會舉辦一個類似聚會（Party）的活動，這個活動最終並命名為摔跤狂熱狂歡節（WrestleMania Axxess）。在此後的發展中，這個小型的狂歡節還增加了著名選手入選 WWE Hall of Fame的入選儀式。在2010年，這項活動終於被發展成為一個持續兩天三夜的大型慶祝周末。在摔跤狂熱狂歡節上，WWE展示並銷售各類與WWE的選手有關的周邊產品，獲利頗豐。
WrestleMania
