講解：
1.這裡Everybody's got something中的has got在口語當中很常用，表示有...東西，相當於have這個詞。比如說：I have got something to tell you。我有點事要告訴你。 Have you got a pencil？你有鉛筆嗎？He's got a letter from the university. 他接到了大學給他的信。在英式英語當中，get的過去分詞就是got，而美式英語當中，get的過去分詞是gotten，所以have got在英式英語中是沒錯的。後來美式英語把這種用法保留了，作為一個固定短語，就沒有改成have gotten。
2.something/somebody seems to ...某事某物似乎、好像怎么樣了。例如：He seems to be a little bit different today. 他今天看起來好像有點不同。 還有It seems that 這個句型，也可以表示這個含義，只不過這裡的it變成了形式主語。 上邊的那句話就可以說成，It seems that he looks a little bit different today. 兩種用法要區分開。
3. No use doing something 做某事沒有意義，沒有用。這裡的use是名詞。造個句子： It's no use talking to him. 跟他談沒有用。注意use後面要用動詞的現在分詞形式。還有一種表達方式 It's useful doing something也可以表達做某事有沒有用。It's useful working out twice a week. 每周鍛鍊兩次挺有用的。Use這個詞還可以組成一個有用的詞組，make use of 利用， make good use of 好好利用。Make good use of your time. 好好利用你的時間。 use這個詞還有利用的意思，不過有點貶義在裡面。 比如說： How can you use me like this?你怎么可以這樣利用我?
4. wondering How it could be now or might have been 這裡是虛擬語氣，might have done someting 表示也許、可能已經怎樣了，比如說： You might have seen him if you came earlier. 如果你早來一會也許你就看到他了。 還有should have done something 本應該做什麼事情， I shouldn't have told him about that. 我本不應該把這件事情告訴他。
5. I can't find ways to do something 我沒有辦法做某事， 相當於I don't know how to do something.例如：I can't find ways to make him believe me. 我沒有辦法讓他相信我。 Let something/somebody go 放棄，忘記某事某人， 比如說： You've got to let it go. 你得試著忘記這件事情. I won't let you go so easily. 我不會輕易放過你.
6. till the day, 直到這天，相當於I never had a dream come true until I found you that day. Not…until 這個句型大家應該很清楚了，直到...時候才...，例如： He didn't come back until I was ready for bed. 直到我要去睡覺了他才回來。
7.pretend假裝，有兩種形式pretend that 從句和pretend to do something。例如： He pretended that he didn't see me. 他假裝沒看見我。She pretended to fall asleep.她假裝睡著了。
8. Move on， 繼續，繼續生活。You've got to let it go and move on.你得忘記一切,繼續你的生活。
9.think about 想念，考慮。 比如： I have been thinking about you all day.我一整天都在想你。 Don't even think about it! 你想都別想!
10.sense of time 時間感。 還有sense of direction, I have little sense of direction. 我沒有什麼方向感。sense of responsibility責任感。He has a strong sense of responsibility.他有很強的責任感。sense還有理智的意思，這時要用複數，例如： I was trying to talk some senses into him because he lost all his senses. 我試著給他講道理，因為他完全失去理智了。
11. fill這個詞大家也很熟悉了，添滿，裝滿某物，經常和with這個介詞連用，比如說： The bag is filled with cash. 袋子裡裝滿了錢。 Fill the bottle with orange juice. 把瓶子灌滿橙汁。
12.no matter 加上副詞，就是無論怎樣都，比如前面的no matter where life takes me to, no matter where就表示無論到哪裡，相當於wherever。這句話當中的no matter how，就相當於however。 例如：No matter what he said, I just kept silent. 不管他說什麼,我都保持沉默。
