張鐘寧，男，研究員，博士，九三學社成員，1944年1月生於四川省永川縣（現重慶市永川區），籍貫遼寧省台安縣。1968年畢業於北京農業大學農藥專業，現任北京農藥學會理事長。曾任中國昆蟲學會副理事長、中國植保學會副理事長。《昆蟲學報》、《農藥學學報》、《Insect Science》編委。

研究領域為化學生態學。主持國家攻關項目、國家攀登項目、“973”項目、國家基金項目、中科院重大項目、中科院重點項目及國際合作等20餘項。共發表文章150餘篇，其中發表於SCI源刊物的文章30餘篇。獲發明專利5項。1994年獲政府特殊津貼。共培養博士碩士21名。
1984年至1986年曾在英國洛桑實驗站（Rothamsted Experimental Station）進行合作研究。
