早年經歷
1961年09月30齣生。史托茲是家中老么，上有二姊，父母皆為教師。從小便勤練小喇叭及鋼琴。8歲時隨家人搬到加州，10歲時他偶然加入暑期劇團，開啟了演戲興趣，在南加大戲劇系就讀間，開始參加電視影集客串演出，念了兩年後輟學拜名師研習表演。
演藝經歷
1982年，參演《雷吉蒙特高中的夏令時》。
拍攝電影外，也參加電視和舞台劇演出。
在《面具》一片中，他飾演一位天生畸型的青年，十分賺人熱淚。
另外他在林肯中心製作的舞台劇《Our Town》中出任男主角。
